Q: What is a spring clean-up?

A: A spring clean up is all or some of the following: Clean-up and haul all leaves, sticks, and debris in yard and beds; trim shrubs as needed; weed, edge and mulch all beds.

Q: What kind of mulch do you use?

A: We stock Double Shredded and the Black or Brown Colored Mulch but we can get any kind of mulch you want. The industry standard and most economical is the Doubled Shredded Hardwood Mulch, it is naturally brown in color. The other popular choice is the Colored Hardwood Mulch. It is ten dollars more a yard, but will not fade in color over time like the natural mulch does. The Colored Hardwood mulch comes in Black and Brown or Red.   Photos of Available Mulch

Q: Can we hire you for mulch only?

A: Yes! We will give you an itemized quote on any service you need.

Q: What is edging?

A: The area where the mulch meets the lawn, walk, patio, driveway, etc. is dug out with an edging spade. This is done to hold the mulch in place and for a clean professional look.

Q: How much do you charge for mulch?

A: We will need to come out and measure your beds to figure out how much mulch is needed. The price per yard will be determined by several things including: amount of edging, weeds and debris in beds, type of mulch, accessibility, etc.

Q: How thick do you spread the mulch?

A: On well maintained beds an inch to an inch and a half is good. On new beds or beds that haven't been mulched in a few years two to two and a half inches is good. Mulch is decorative, spreading it thick will not stop weeds, or be good for your plant material. We will spread it as thick as you want but more mulch equals more money.

Q: How do you get rid of weeds?

A: The only way to keep weeds under control is regular weeding! Every week or every two weeks is good. We can give you a quote for regular weeding service after a clean-up, edging and mulching have been done.

Q: Do you provide other maintenance services?

A: Yes! We can provide a quote for full maintenance of your property to include all or some of the following: lawn mowing service, edge & mulch beds, shrub and tree trimming, weeding beds, annual flower installation, fall leaf clean-up, etc. We also provide complete landscaping services from planting to patios we can handle it!

Q: How quickly can you do it?

A: We can usually start a job three to five business days after it is scheduled. We schedule all work when we receive a signed contract and a third of the quote total as a down payment.

 Q: What is a Fall clean-up?

A:

A fall clean up is all or some of the following: Clean-up and haul all leaves, sticks, and debris in yard and beds; cut back perennials and/or ornamental grasses; trim shrubs as needed.

Q: Do you just haul piles of leaves?

A: Yes! The piles need to be NO MORE than Ten feet from a drivable surface. We can haul piles that are further away than ten feet at an additional charge.

Q: Is it less expensive to dump the leaves somewhere on my property rather than hauling?

A: Yes! We are charged to dump our trucks, and it cost us time and fuel as well. We can pass these savings on to you.

Q: Is it okay to weed, edge, and mulch in the fall?

A: Sure! Mulching in the fall will redefine your bed edges and have all your beds looking fresh through the winter.
